The Adaptive Stability Strategy Intensive

Step out of the day-to-day. Think clearly. Leave with something done.

A VIP implementation session for leaders who need protected time to work on the strategic things that keep getting pushed aside.

Most leaders know there are important pieces of work they need to get to.

  • The stakeholder map that would make influence easier.

  • The scenario planning that would help them prepare for change.

  • The risk thinking that would help them protect key objectives.

  • The team planning that would bring more clarity and alignment or

  • The well being rhythm that would help them lead with more energy and steadiness.

But in the busyness of leadership, this work often sits in the background.

The urgent takes over. Meetings fill the calendar. Immediate problems demand attention. Before long, the work that would help you lead more strategically is the very work you never quite get time to complete.

The Adaptive Stability Strategy Intensive is designed to help you get started on that important work.

This is a focused VIP implementation session where we work together on one important piece of strategic leadership work, so you leave with greater clarity, practical momentum and something useful completed.

Is this you?

You are leading in a complex, changing environment.

You are capable, experienced and committed, but there are only so many hours in the week.

You may be carrying a lot in your head: strategy, people, risk, stakeholders, culture, performance, competing expectations and your own sustainability as a leader.

You might be thinking:

  • I need time to step back and think properly.

  • I know this work matters, but it keeps getting pushed aside.

  • I need a clearer plan before I can move forward well.

  • I want to be more strategic, but the operational demands keep pulling me back in.

  • I need someone to help me think this through and turn it into something practical.

If that sounds familiar, this session is for you.

What is the Adaptive Stability Strategy Intensive?

The Adaptive Stability Strategy Intensive is a private working session where we focus on one priority area that matters to your leadership, your team or your organisation.

This is not a passive coaching conversation.

It is a practical, structured implementation session.

Together, we step out of the noise, focus on what matters, and create a useful output you can take away and use.

You bring the leadership issue, opportunity or piece of work that needs attention. I bring structure, strategic thinking, facilitation, risk and governance insight, and the Adaptive Stability lens to help you make sense of it and move it forward.

The aim is simple: to help you stop carrying it all in your head and leave with something clearer, stronger and more actionable

What we can work on together?

In your session, we choose one focus area. Depending on your needs, we may work on:

  • Strategic thinking time

Create space to think through a leadership challenge, decision, opportunity or next step with more clarity and perspective.

  • Risks to the achievement of objectives

Identify what could get in the way of your goals and what needs to be strengthened, monitored or addressed.

  • Context and horizon scanning

Use tools such as PESTLE to look at what is changing around you and what that might mean for your work, team or organisation.

  • SWOT analysis

Clarify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats so you can make more considered decisions.

  • Short, medium and long-term planning

Map the immediate priorities, emerging needs and longer-term direction so you can lead with more focus.

  • Scenario planning

Explore what could change, what different futures may require, and how you can prepare without becoming overwhelmed.

  • Stakeholder mapping and planning

Identify who matters, what they need, where influence is required, and how to engage with more purpose.

  • Team vision, planning and culture

Clarify where your team is heading, what matters most, and how you want people to work together.

  • Putting wellbeing back into your work week

Design a realistic leadership rhythm that protects energy, focus and performance in a demanding role.

What you will leave with

By the end of the session, you will leave with a practical output that relates to your chosen focus area.

That might be:

  • a one-page strategic priorities map

  • a risk-to-objectives map

  • a PESTLE or horizon scan

  • a SWOT analysis

  • a short, medium and long-term plan

  • a scenario planning map

  • a stakeholder engagement plan

  • a team vision or culture map

  • a leadership wellbeing rhythm or

  • a clear next-steps action plan

The output does not need to be perfect or overly polished.

It needs to be useful.

The purpose is to create something that helps you think more clearly, communicate more effectively and take your next steps with greater confidence.

Why Adaptive Stability?

Adaptive Stability is about helping leaders stay steady and effective when the environment keeps changing.

It is not about standing still.

It is about building enough clarity, flexibility and resilience to respond well under pressure.

In this intensive, we use Adaptive Stability as a practical leadership lens. That means we pay attention to:

  • what is changing around you

  • what needs to stay steady

  • where you need more clarity

  • where you need to adapt

  • what risks or pressures may affect your objectives

  • what will help you lead in a more sustainable way

This is strategic work, but it is also human work.

Because leaders do not make decisions in perfect conditions. They make them with limited time, competing demands and real pressure.

This session gives you the space, structure and thinking partnership to do that work with more calm, clarity and purpose.

How the session works?

1. Choose your focus

Before the session, you identify the priority area you want to work on. You may already know exactly what you need, or we can clarify the best focus together.

2. Step back and make sense of it

In the session, we look at the issue from a strategic leadership perspective. We explore what matters, what is getting in the way, what needs attention, and what would create the most useful progress.

3. Build the output together

We work through the relevant tool, framework, map or plan together. This is where the session becomes practical. We are not just discussing the work. We are doing the work.

4. Clarify next steps

We finish by identifying what you will do next, what needs to be communicated, and how you can keep the momentum going.
